Registered Nubians

What I breed for....

In the show ring....

I breed and manage my girls ( and boys) to be competitive in the show ring. Believing shows and linear appraisals to be an asset in producing conformationally correct animals that are long lived and productive.

In the milk parlor....

Whether commercial or homestead, I believe a milk goat should milk!!! I strive for correct udders and high production as well as easy going temperaments. I utilize both hand and machine milking systems.

In the pasture....

Along with full access to high quality alfalfa, the herd has year round access to pasture and forage. They are raised in a harsh climate and are constantly proving just how hardy they are!

I have always loved animals and found my first passion in riding and showing horses as a youth. That passion has stayed with me all these years while I have continued to explore the beautiful mountains and backcountry of Idaho with my trusty steads! All that early showing experience also helped give me the confidence to attend my first dairy show!

I spend many years as a vet tech and dog groomer, learning valuable first aid, management, grooming and breeding skills that have all aided in the growing success of my herd.

But it wasn’t until 2014 when my daughter was born and needed supplemental milk that I discovered a love for dairy goats. My first milkers where less than steller, but were a great starting point for me to learn from. In 2016 I brought home my first two registered nubian doelings….the foundation that I have built my whole herd upon and whom almost every doe in my herd traces back to.

And from there it has been a wild ride! Successes, losses, ribbons, frustrations, new friends and even moving to a new location! I am constantly pushing to learn more and improve my herd for the better.

As much as we love living in the heart of Idaho, its a harsh climate with 50 degree temperature swings and frigid long winters being the normal! I have focused on producing older styled big bodied nubians that handle our climate with ease while being feed efficient, highly productive and still able to bring home champion ribbons on the weekend!
